2 Jehovah’s Witnesses came to my door today.
They tried to convert me, but I told them right away that I’m good.
I said I’m familiar with their teachings, but I have my own beliefs and I’m not interested in changing them.
They asked what I believe in, and I told them that for me, God is not a white-bearded man sitting on a throne, but everything that exists.
That God is an infinite ocean of pure, unconditional love, and each of us is a droplet in this loving presence.
Once I said that, they went completely off script.
They told me it was the first time they had heard this idea, and for the next 20 minutes they asked a lot of questions to better understand it.
At the end, they said, “Thank you for this conversation!” and left without even giving me a booklet about Jehovah’s Witnesses.
So I learned nothing about their beliefs, but they learned a whole lot about mine.
The recruiters got recruited, haha.
En Eeke Mai Ea!
I love you so!
